What exactly is Royalty Free Music?
Royalty free or buyout music is the easiest and most affordable method of using copyrighted music in any audio/visual application. You pay ONCE ONLY for a lifetime license to use the music freely with few conditions (PLEASE SEE LICENSE AGREEMENT).
You are not required to pay any further royalties for the usage although when broadcasting the music publicly a cue sheet must be completed and submitted to SOCAN (performance rights association) via the broadcast company. SOCAN will then collect any royalties due from the broadcast company.
Is copyright free music the same thing?
No.
There is no such thing as copyright free music. Even if the copyright has expired on certain pieces of music, the recording or music publisher still retains ‘copyright’. The copyright to all music on this site belongs exclusively to Accent Music Productions.
What does the music license permit?
The music license grants you three rights to the music.
1. Mechanical: this allows you to record the music into your system.
2. Synchronization: allows you to synch the music to your audio/visual work.
3. Public Performance: allows the music, as part of a new audio/visual production, to be broadcast.
The other major stipulation is that all major network and international broadcast of the music is cleared through SOCAN, (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers), the performance rights association of Canada. The broadcast companies are then responsible for the payment of royalties. You must indicate on all cue sheets the composition title ‘All Music Is Accent Music Productions (SOCAN)’.

Is all of your music original?
Yes.
All of our music is 100% original with the exception of our Christmas collection, Solo Piano and Harpsichord selection & the orchestral work ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra!’.
Can I share the music with friends and colleagues?
No.
The license you purchase is single site therefore only the licensee (whether an individual or company) is permitted usage. Music used without permission is illegal and will result in criminal prosecution.
I completed the shopping cart procedure and still did not receive my 24Bit/MP3 file(s)?
Once you have completed the shopping cart procedure, this will trigger an automated email which will be sent to the email address you entered during the transaction process.
1. Give the software anywhere from 2 – 5 minutes to engage then recheck your email. Your file should arrive attached to an email receipt.
2. Check that your email address was correctly spelled. Unfortunately, this is a common mistake.
If you have not received your confirmation email within 15 minutes of order email us immediately and we will post it on a secure and personalized web page for a period of 48 hours.

All sales of 24Bit/MP3 files are final and refunds will not be issued. Due to the nature of electronic media it is impossible to gage whether or not the file has been used or duplicated. Each track on our website can be auditioned in full, therefore, there should be no surprises when it arrives. Please ensure that you listen to each track in its entirety before proceeding with your purchase.

No. Research has shown that the majority of Royalty Free Music users prefer full length track auditioning, as opposed to 30 second clips commonly found on demo CDs. For customer assurance all of our tracks are available for full length auditioning on our a website.
Do you accept submissions from other Composers?
Regrettably, we do not ask for or accept submissions from outside sources at this time. Therefore, we ask that you do not email or mail unsolicited resumes/demo reels as they will not be replied to.
