most affordable method of
using copyrighted music in
any audio/visual
application. You pay ONCE
ONLY for a lifetime license
to use the music freely with
few conditions (PLEASE SEE LICENSE
AGREEMENT).
You are not required to pay
any further royalties for
the usage although when
broadcasting the music
publicly a cue sheet must be
completed and submitted to
SOCAN (performance rights
association) via the
broadcast company. SOCAN
will then collect any
royalties due from the
broadcast company.

There is no such thing as
copyright free music. Even
if the copyright has expired
on certain pieces of music,
the recording or music
publisher still retains
‘copyright’. The
copyright to all music on
this site belongs
exclusively to Accent Music
Productions.

The music
license grants you three
rights to the music.
1.
Mechanical: this allows you
to record the music into
your system.
2.
Synchronization: allows you
to synch the music to your
audio/visual work.
3. Public
Performance: allows the
music, as part of a new
audio/visual production, to
be broadcast.
The other
major stipulation is that
all major network and
international broadcast of
the music is cleared through
SOCAN, (Society of
Composers, Authors and Music
Publishers), the performance
rights association of
Canada. The broadcast
companies are then
responsible for the payment
of royalties. You must
indicate on all cue sheets
the composition title 'All
Music Is Accent Music
Productions (SOCAN)'.
